Restaurant Slow Food:

In 1974 a foreman from Seva was collecting stones for the construction on the hill of El Montgròs, and discovered that the loose stones formed part of ancient walls. He immediately contacted the experts, who on excavating the area, found a fortification constructed some 2,400 years ago by the Iberian Ausetani people. The wall closes off the sole entrance to a hill surrounded by cliffs, so creating a splendid fortification. The wall is still undergoing archaeological and restorative investigation today. The Iberians of the Montseny were essentially farmers, and they usually built their fortified towns on hills for defensive purposes. These types of constructions are known as oppidums.
